Ságá
-Mapped cultural heritage and stories
Ságá is a platform concept developed through research into storytelling, cultural heritage, and people's relationship with the landscape in Varanger.
Through fieldwork and digital ethnography, we explored how local stories, memories, and knowledge are shared, and how intangible cultural heritage can become fragmented or lost.
These insights led us to explore how digital technology could connect stories to the places they belong to. We developed and prototyped Ságá as an interactive map where people can discover cultural heritage and contribute their own stories and knowledge.
The project strengthened my understanding of strategic design as an iterative process of researching, framing, testing, and making, where the solution emerges through engagement with people, context, and place.
